GMC recognise that care for the environment is a primary responsibility and is committed to achieve continuous improvement of our environmental performance. The environmental performance is managed through the company's integrated management system.

The Group has introduced a Total Integrated Management System which incorporates the ISO 9001:2008, the OHSAS: 18001:2007 and the ISO: 14001:2004 standards. The Group carries accreditation to all three standards.

Environmental Mission Statement

We aim to
improve standards of Environmental Management at all offices and on all projects in conjunction with those organisations that work with us;
act as a good neighbour to the local community;
take steps to minimise waste, prevent pollution and pursue good practice in resource management;
take steps to reduce energy consumption;
set targets and use plans to monitor the achievements of defined environmental objectives;
ensure that environmental considerations form part of each employee’s responsibilities;
comply with all Statutory and Clients' requirements;
develop procedures detailing environmental practices to take account of developing legislation, regulations, guidance on best practice and any other criteria we formally adopt;
