From its early days GMC has been involved in the Telecommunications business providing civil engineering backup for both Telecom Eireann and British Telecom. The GMC Group, for over two decades has been helping to rollout new networks whilst maintaining and upgrading existing networks and installations. With the onset of Broadband GMC has led the way. In Northern Ireland the Group helped construct a broadband network for NTL in the Greater Belfast Area and installed a four way ring around the whole of the North. Whilst in the Greater Dublin Area we were the lead contractor again for NTL. The Group also laid the duct and installed the fibre linking Belfast and Dublin. Some of the clients/services provided are:
